Our trip began with a long ride through West Texas |

When we arrived at the Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout, Erik
discovers the soccer playing pony |

Much to everyone's delight, we woke up the next morning
to find almost 1 foot of snow. |

Ryan declares that he loves shoveling snow, but the
novelty quickly wears off when he realizes he must shovel a path 100 yards
long. |

It's a good thing dad has 4WD because we have to climb to
over 10,000 feet to get to the ski slope. |

Ryan looks for Area 51 (it's around here somewhere). |

Erik and dad head up the mountain. |

Ryan get some pointers from Daffy Dave (his snowboard
instructor). |

Ryan contemplates a blue run because the greens are just
too slow. |

At the end of our first day, we have a scenic trip down
the mountain. |

At the end of our second day, dad and the boys spend some
time tubing. |

This time Erik wins the race. |

Not to be outdone, Ryan goes head first. |

Erik thinks about Ryan who's still out in the cold on a
tube. |

What, me cold? Be Serious! |

The pony gets some carrots and a new soccer ball. |

After a hard day on the slopes, the boys mosey on over to
the Cattle Barron for some serious steak. |

The boys run into Ben Plett, a friend from Cedar Park. |

Ryan heads down Smokey Trail. |

Erik's right behind him showin' some style. |

Oh look, here comes mom, too. |

Too bad we have to leave, because it just snowed another
foot. |

Erik snuggles with the cabin kitty one last time. |
